A catal or cat is a six-legged, four-eyed creature that can shift between states of fur, flesh, and bone and a transparent crystalline form. While they are in the invisible crystalline form they do not seem able to move. When visible, their fur has a shimmering metallic property that can reflect light and create a glowing effect.

Interaction With Humans

Catal are very picky about who they appear for. They may dwell in the same building as many people without their presence being known to any.

Ecology

Little is known on what a catal needs to survive, but they have been sighted on every continent of Nalan.
